Ali: Dismantling Brotherhood organization in France is the solution

Director of the Middle East Center for Studies in Paris (CEMO), Abdelrahim Ali said that dismantling the Brotherhood is the solution, explaining that the dismantling of this organization in all its social, economic and cultural manifestations is the duty of the moment in France.

He added that the new anti-separatism law may contribute to a part of that dismantling process, but it will not be sufficient, as the Brotherhood is known for its ability to adapt to all circumstances and has skill in overcoming all the obstacles it faced throughout its history. The Egyptian experience in facing the Brotherhood organization is the best proof of that.

He explained that dismantling the organization in France requires years of serious and organized work and the inspiration of many experiences.

The seminar, which took place at CEMO's headquarters in Paris, was titled "Is France's new bill on separatism enough?"

It was held on the eve of discussions on the bill by the French cabinet.

Apart from Ali, a host of other dignitaries spoke in the seminar, including Jacqueline Eustache Brinio, a member of the French Senate and the Rapporteur of the Committee on Political Islam in the Senate, renowned French writer Yves Thréard, who is the editor-in-chief of the French daily morning newspaper, Le Figaro, and political Islam specialists Emmanuel Razavi and Alexandre Del Valle.

Also speaking in the seminar was noted writer Gil Mihaely.

Ahmed Youssef, CEMO's executive director, moderated the seminar.
