Abdelrehim Ali reveals how June 30 revolution eliminated Iran's plan in Egypt

Journalist Abdelrehim Ali, chairman and editor-in-chief of Al-Bawaba News, said, “Of course, as you have seen, this [Iranian] penetration did not succeed, because even in [Mohamed] Morsi El-Ayat's presence, the General Intelligence, Military Intelligence and National Security services stood and submitted reports holding the president fully responsible, and they asked him, just as the armed forces asked him, to stop the tourist exchange between Egypt and Iran on the pretext that this could cause major problems between Sunnis and Shiites, and major problems might occur due to the behaviors that the Iranian tourist might take, and this was a set of justifications so that Morsi El-Ayat and his group could stop the advance while they worked in another domain.”

During the third season of the “Black Box” program on Alasema channel on February 18, 2016, Ali added that there were continuous meetings between the Iranian charge d’affaires and the Brotherhood, and the Brotherhood brought them a very large number of what they call “the elite in Egypt”. They sat with the Iranian charge d’affaires, and they took a group of them to Iran and there met the ayatollahs, the Revolutionary Guards and the Iranian intelligence. They attempted the story of Egyptian-Iranian cooperation, without knowing that Iran does not want cooperation but wants to impose sovereignty, control and complete authority, meaning rule by proxy and control by proxy over the entire region, but all of that ended in abject failure. When Morsi fell, all these trends fell with him, and all these ideas fell with the fall of Morsi and the Brotherhood, so [the revolution of] June 30 brought down an Iranian project inside Egypt, not only inside the region, so when the president says we disrupted the plan, he means that we removed it from Egypt.

But is it disrupted in Yemen? The Houthis almost seized power in Yemen and expelled the president out of the country.

Is it disrupted in Lebanon? Hezbollah is still dominant in Lebanon and is in control of the Lebanese arena, and the only weapons owned by a political force in Lebanon are Hezbollah's weapons.

Has the project been disrupted in Iraq? Shiite organizations and parties are still controlling Iraq completely, and the Iranian incursion continues to rule Iraq city by city and village by village. The Iranian plan is still attracting Iraqis. The Iranian plan is still working very efficiently, and there is no one to stop this plan. Even the Arabs are late to enter Iran and are terrified of Iraq and the entry, because the Iranians have arranged their situation completely.

So did they block the project in controlling Gulf joints such as Bahrain, for example, and the eastern region in Saudi Arabia? Did they block this idea of influencing the UN resolution, the international resolution, the decision of the United States and the European Union to rely on Iran as a policeman in the region in exchange for sacrificing the nuclear file to become peaceful instead of becoming a military one? It hasn’t happened; there evidence that the last agreement between the five countries was the signing and initialing of a comprehensive agreement to end the crisis of the Iranian nuclear project in favor of Iran's control of the region. Has the idea of Iran communicating with revolutionary Sunni forces or a force that negotiates with national forces in the region, such as Hamas and Palestinian Jihad, been obstructed? It hasn’t; Hamas still considers any attack on Iran to be an attack on Gaza, and it is still ready to engage in armed struggle in any battle waged by Iran in the region.

Has this been disrupted in Syria? No, Iran still has the upper hand in what is happening in Syrian lands. We are facing a plan that has been disrupted from growing or continuing in Egypt, because it is a country opposed to acquisition and conspiracy, and it is a country that broke the conspiracy, as the president said in his speech before the parliament; it is a country that disrupted the plan. It is difficult for some to think of Egypt’s immunity. How does Egypt remain an exception in which what happened in Syria, Iraq and Yemen did not happen, and like what will happen, God forbid, if Saudi Arabia responded to what was planned and began to intervene in Syria and enter Yemen and began to split militarily on the ground. They would drag it in an attempt to heat up confrontations so that the Saudi army, God forbid, breaks down. Therefore, Egypt is intended, and Egypt is trying to fight it again and again.

But Egypt knew this plan well; its president is aware of this plan, its army is aware of this plan, its police are aware of this plan, and O Lord, we hope that our media are aware of this plan. We are in the midst of a real battle no less than the War of Dignity in 1973 and the War of Attrition after 1967, and the battles 1967 and 1956. We are in the fiercest and most important battle in our history; its weapons are information, information services and internal cohesion between the various forces of society - even between the government and the opposition, even between the government and the parliament, even among the men who stand behind and beside the political authority, even in the media, even all the guarded areas of Egypt.

In the next episode, we will talk about the alternative plans that Egypt put in place to confront these universal plans to leave it, remove it, and dismember it. We will see how Egypt broke free of this collar and got out of it, how it became aware of the despicable plans, and what, after God Almighty, it relied upon to undo this collar.
