Journalist Abdelrehim Ali, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Editor-in-Chief of Al-Bawaba News, said that he has known the martyr Mohamed Mabrouk since 2006, and he and Major General Tamer El-Shahawy had always met him in Agouza at a place known as the Submarine.

During a phone call to the Al-Hekaya program through the Shahid Net application, Abdelrehim Ali explained that they had a meeting on the day of Mabrouk’s martyrdom at one o’clock in the afternoon, and the martyr Mabrouk called him to confirm the appointment. Ali told him that he would go to the birthday party of his daughter, Dalia, for five minutes and then meet him. As soon as Ali left the hotel, Major General Adel Azab called him, shouting, “Mabrouk has died, Abdelrehim. Mabrouk, they killed him. Mohamed Mabrouk was killed.”

Abdelrehim Ali continued recounting those moments, saying, “I threw the phone on the ground and completely collapsed. They took me to our friend Wagih Wahba, and I was crying. It was a fateful day. But praise be to God, I restore his honor today. His wife, the virtuous lady, is a member of Parliament, and his children are in the eye of the state. I say to him, ‘I love you, my friend, until we meet again.’”
