The Italian news agency, Nova, has highlighted an interview conducted by renowned French writer Alexandre Delval with journalist Abdel Rahim Ali who is the Director of the Centre for Middle East Studies in Paris.

The interview focused on the human rights situation in Egypt and malicious campaigns against the Arab country, ones that take human rights as centre stage.

Ali said many NGOs and politicians who condemn alleged human rights violations in Egypt get their information about this country from Muslim Brotherhood figures in western countries.

Most of these figures, he added, had been convicted in Egypt for their involvement in assassinations and acts of violence.

"Westerners always forget that no place was spared from Muslim Brotherhood attacks in Egypt," Ali said.

"Over 1,000 terrorist attacks took place in the Arab country, claiming the lives of 4,000 people army personnel, policemen and civilians, since 2013," he added.
