The French press paid attention to the lecture by Dr. Abdelrehim Ali, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Center for Middle East Studies in Paris (CEMO), in which he spoke before the French Parliament in the presence of Marine Le Pen, leader of France’s right-wing National Rally party, about the dangers of terrorism and exposing the supporters of the terrorist Brotherhood group.

French newspapers reported what Ali and Marine Le Pen had observed in a joint conference, noting that he warned against the Qatari role in supporting terrorism, terrorist elements and groups. The following are three examples of articles published by French newspapers on the lecture of Marine Le Pen and Abdelrehim Ali.

French suburbs: Marine Le Pen and an Egyptian MP accuse Qatari influence

“There is no dignity for a prophet in his country.” With this statement, Marine Le Pen justified the invitation of the journalist and expert on political Islamism, Abdelrehim Ali, to the French National Assemble, who came to warn France, during a joint press conference, of the “deviation of Islamist fundamentalism,” which is increasing and continuing to advance on French soil after very dangerous events (in reference to the events in Marseille, which witnessed an attack on some police officers).

“Warnings are not new in the discourse of the National Rally, and some say that we only think about that, but the fact is that we are the only ones who think about this issue.” With these words, Marine Le Pen, the leader of the National Rally, began her presentation to the conference, along with the representative of the French Pyrenees region, Louis Aliot.

“In France, there is confusion between fighting religious fundamentalism and Islamophobia, and this idea comes through a message from a person who is difficult to harbor any feelings against Muslims, and no suspicions hover around him,” she continued.

The newspaper said that Dr. Abdelrehim Ali, the founding president of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies in Paris (CEMO), is a well-known expert and specialist in the affairs of the Muslim Brotherhood, pointing to what he said about Le Pen, where he said, “There are those who are trying to put a bad image on Marine Le Pen's party, while it respects religions and respects Islam.”

Ali grabbed the attention of the attendees at the conference by revealing about $12 billion that was pumped by this group in Europe in order to sow discord through various associations for the group’s future generations.

Ali revealed that the large and important Qatari investments, specifically in the French suburbs, fund schools to sow hatred and malice, as well as teach jihad. He asked, “Is it normal for France to open its arms to a country like Qatar in order to finance terrorism? We should not think naively.”

Fiery statements from Abdelrehim Ali, Marine Le Pen did not hesitate to raise it further, criticizing “the government that adopts an ostrich policy as long as there are a number of political officials who receive money from Qatar,” referring to the book by Christian Chesnot and Georges Malbrunot, a journalist at Le Figaro, entitled "Our Dear Emirs", published by Michel Lafon Publishing.

Le Pen believes that the cooperation between Egypt and France in the field of combating terrorism should be more profound in order to fight the second phase of this war against the political project of religious fundamentalism.

According to Marine Le Pen, the French intelligence, whether due to the lack of cooperation or poor diplomatic relations, did not obtain key information, such as the list of 250 associations on French soil affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, and this list is known to Egypt. The French intelligence also did not obtain information from the Russian authorities about the Chechen person who obtained French citizenship and committed the terrorist attack in Paris on May 12, 2018.

Political Islam: Marine Le Pen criticizes the French government's policy

The head of the National Rally, Marine Le Pen, and Abdelrehim Ali condemned the “ostrich policy” pursued by the French government to confront “Islamist fundamentalism.” She pointed out that the French government, by following this policy, is burying its head in the sand so as not to see the gravity of the danger, which has gone beyond the stage of knocking on doors and has become confined to the house. These statements were made by Marine Le Pen during a joint press conference attended by Egyptian MP Abdelrehim Ali.

Le Pen wondered about the source of the funds obtained by the Islamist fundamentalists, which helped them grow and form institutions, own offices and schools, and arm themselves in the face of the French army in the Sahel.

Marine Le Pen, who visited Egypt several years ago, stressed that the level of cooperation with countries fighting Islamist fundamentalism is not enough. She stressed the need to strengthen this cooperation, especially between countries that possess reliable information about the networks in France.

The duo of Abdelrehim Ali and Marine Le Pen against Qatar and the Muslim Brotherhood

The leader of the National Rally, Marine Le Pen, did not reject the compliment when journalist Abdelrehim Ali, head of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies in Paris (CEMO) and an expert on Islamist groups and the Muslim Brotherhood, said during a conference in the French National Assembly, “I know very well what Marine Le Pen is thinking, and some are trying to give a bad image of her party, while she respects religions and respects Islam.”

Marine Le Pen received Abdelrehim Ali in the National Assembly at a conference on Islamist fundamentalism, which was attended by Le Pen, National Rally MP Louis Aliot, Jean Messiha, Marine Le Pen's advisor, and Senator Stephane Ravier.

Marine Le Pen wanted to sound the alarm against Islamist fundamentalism, Cciticizing its incursion into France. She demanded that this file be the focus of the attention of every French politician during the coming period, saying, “This does not mean at all fighting Islam. In fact, we do not confuse Islam and the freedom to practice it in a secular state with the political project of fundamentalist Islam.”

During his lengthy participation in the French parliament, Abdelrehim Ali told the history of the rise of Islamists, until he reached the declaration of the Islamic caliphate in 2014 by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the terrorist organization ISIS, pointing an accusatory finger at the Muslim Brotherhood. He said, “ISIS is considered the daughter of the Muslim Brotherhood.”

During his participation, Abdelrehim Ali linked the dismantling of ISIS and the fall of the Brotherhood, saying, “We are facing a dangerous period in France, especially due to the return of about 5,200 jihadists from Syria, whose mission is to swallow European civilizations during the next twenty years.”

For her part, Marine Le Pen said, “We are facing a historic moment in which our leaders either open their eyes well or close them, and we have a feeling that the French government is following the strategy of the ostrich... We were the first to warn against Islamist fundamentalism. Who finances this?”

“I say it with sadness: some French political officials have and continue to receive money from Qatar,” she continued, referring at the same time to the book “Our Dear Emirs”.

The leader of the National Rally revealed that the Qatari influence penetrated, without any discrimination, into the suburbs, associations, and the political and journalistic worlds in France, and she attacked Macron because of his plan for the suburbs, saying that she would present a “Le Pen plan” for the suburbs, representing 40 items.
